Back in 1961, Walt Disney got a little hip with 101 Dalmatians, making use of that flat Saturday morning cartoon style that had become so popular. The result is a kitschy change in animation and story. Pongo and Perdita are two lonely dalmatians who meet cute in a London park and arrange for their pet humans to marry so they can live together and raise a family. They become proud parents of 15 pups, who are stolen by the dastardly Cruella De Vil, who wants to make a fur coat out of them. Cruella has become the most popular villain in all of Disney; she's flamboyantly nasty and lots of fun. But it's the dalmatians who shine in this endearing classic, particularly those precocious pups. Telling the story from the dogs' point of view is a clever conceit, a fundamental flaw of the live-action remake. --Bill Desowitz

One of my most favorite Walt Disney Movies. This is a Classic, not to be missed! I loved this movie as a child, and I still love it today, as much as I did back when I first saw it in 1991. The two-disc Platinum edition is so awesome! It has a lot of good Bonus Features also. The songs and music in 101 Dalmatians is so good it makes you want more and more. Every time I watch this movie it gets better and better. This will always be one of my favorite classic Walt-Disney movies of all time!

As a kid, I could not wait for The Wonderful World of Disney to come on every Sunday evening. Better yet was when my parents would take us to see a Disney movie when it came to the theater. 101 Dalmatians has always been one of my favorites and now I get to share it with my grandchildren. To me, there is no better way to spend an evening than to watch my grandchildren as they get lost in the movie and the action. One look at their faces and I know that they are hooked on Disney just like I was as a child and still am. 101 Dalmatians and all of the Disney classics will be around for generations to come. Buying the DVD on Amazon put a smile on my face because of the savings. Even though I purchased this item as used, it looked brand new when it arrived.

DVD skips and stops...I thought this disc was "like new" and it is NOT. Before I purchased, I would have appreciated being told that there were such glitches in the play-back quality. I guess I could have guessed that this wasn't good quality because of the lower price...soooooooo caveat emptor.

Excellent. The description indicated is was "like new". When I received this product, it looked "brand new". Very happy!
