I got this for my 20-something brother for his new bachelor pad apartment, and he loved it. He needed a cutting board, but appreciated having the strainer built in so he could save some space. He's pretty into gadgets, and it made an otherwise "here's something you need" xmas present a little more fun and thoughtful. Probably not for the super-gourmet (it's pretty basic plastic cutting-board material) but great for the average person, esp those living with limited kitchen space.

First, let me describe the positives. I love the way the board folds to rinse produce and/or to hold the food ready to be poured directly into a bowl or pot. It's a unique design and very convenient to use.
The reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is that after only using it a couple of times, the grey surface shows gashes from cutting. Otherwise, I would recommend this innovative kitchen tool.

We were tired of spending $$ on wood and glass cutting boards. Some wood would warp and we didn't like the glass surface for cutting. Since we bought the Joseph Joseph cutting board, we won't be buying any other kind. It's that good!

It's a great surface to cut on... folds up to let you rinse the vegetables and such. We even use it to hold our cut veggies until we are ready to add them to our soups or salads. They slide right in. Less mess and very easy to use and clean. Great design and they even come in bright colors!

You can't beat the price!
