Such great value for money and delivers a beautiful picture even on non-HD input.

I've only had the product for about a month, so I cannot attest to its reliability, but if first impressions count for anything, this beauty has to be considered a great purchase.

I won't pretend like I thought that I was getting an $1800 television here. For the price I paid, with the additional soundbar thrown in, this was a great value on a decent television. The colors are bright, and the soundbar makes the TV sound great. The HD is crisp, and yes, it is 60hZ, but -like I said- for $500, this is probably as good as it can get.

I should mention some of the issues, just to be fair: The television audio out doesn't respect the television volume, so you always have to have the soundbar remote handy to change the volume. There is also a distinct whirring sound when the television is on. I only notice it during the quiet parts of whatever I am watching, but it is definitely there. There are also some blotches on the black screen. I can't notice them when the TV is on, but when the television powers up, you can see them there.

If you are looking for something to hang up in your home theater, I probably wouldn't recommend this television. If you are looking for a good television to watch The Simpson's on before you go to bed, this is a great TV. Definitely consider it if you are on a budget. Phenomenal value for what you pay.

I found this when it was on sale for $500 for the tv and soundbar. I jumped on it since I hadn't even seen a 1080 tv 40" without the soundbar for that cheap. The tv is awesome! The picture quality is just as good as any name brand tvs I've seen. Totally amazing picture. The sound on the tv itself isn't fantastic, but the sound bar is and more than makes up for it. I don't have an Ipod yet, but I'm looking forward to getting one and making use of the docking station on the sound bar! I am thrilled with my purchase.
